January 27 is the Day of the Complete Liberation of Leningrad from the Nazi Blockade

A solemn event dedicated to the Day of the Complete Liberation of Leningrad from the Nazi Blockade was held at the St. Petersburg State Agrarian University. The event was jointly prepared by the university administration and the primary trade union organization. The university's rector, Vitaly Morozov, addressed the students, faculty, and staff with a welcoming speech, emphasizing the undeniable importance of historical memory and the continuity of generations. Special words of gratitude were expressed to the veterans of the Great Patriotic War, children of the Siege of Leningrad, and children of the war who attended the event.

The rector awarded students who had won prizes in a historical quest dedicated to the Siege. The celebration continued with a concert. The group "Otechestvo" performed songs about the war, and poems about the war days were recited. The Russian Dance Ensemble "Etude" provided a vibrant performance. Alexey Nosov, a member of the Union of Writers of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, performed his own songs. The concert culminated with a moment of silence in memory of the fallen and a solemn performance of the Russian National Anthem.

After the concert, the attendees laid flowers at the monument to the war heroes. Traditionally, a festive dinner was organized for the esteemed guests, the veterans of GAU Blokada 2, where they had the opportunity to socialize with each other and the university administration in a warm atmosphere.
